Teemu Seppänen: I think I can help this project with my daily work
En af Metalligaens mest stabile keepere igennem de seneste sæsoner, har været den lille hurtige Finne, Teemu Seppänen. Han har til den kommende sæson skiftet fra Gentofte Stars til Odense Bulldogs, og Hockeymagasinet.dk talte med ham her i sommerferien.
1. You have spent the past 3 seasons in Gentofte, Kan you put some words on your time on the stars team ?
First year I came to Gentofte, was a good opportunity for me to come to Denmark and Europe after year in Kazkahstan so I was very excited about that. First season was a step in right direction even though we just nearly missed playoffs, but I think we had a feeling, that we can do better. Second season of course was for everyone involved in hockey in Gentofte, a season to remember with long playoff run and place in the final. Last season everyone had high expectations and it started off well, but then came some injuries and of course the financial problems that left bad taste i the mouth for the season. But mostly I have to say that I met lots of good people in Gentofte who are excited of ice hockey and are willing to put some effort and their own money and time to try to keep hockey alive in small club there and I hope all the best for everyone there.
2.This season you will be guarding the net for Odense Bulldogs. What were the factors that contributed to you deciding that Odense was the club for you?
I ended up without a contract after Gentofte didn't get license to league so I wanted to stay in Denmark because I have enjoyed playing in the league, I like the style of play, it is fast and there is good amount of work for goalie so it fits for me. I have heard lots of good things about Odense's organization, and how they treat players. I knew that there starts kind of new era with focus on team core being from young Danish guys. I think I can help in this project with how I work daily basis and I will give my everything for Bulldogs next year. It is new challenge and I'm very excited about that, can't really wait to august and get to work!
