Jannik Hansen klar til nattens kamp
Efter en måned lang pause, på grund af en hjernerystelese, er Jannik Hansen endelig på vej tilbage i Manitoba Moose's holdopstilling.
Der var allerede for et par uger siden forlydender om at Jannik skulle være klar, men Jannik fik desværre et tilbagefald da Manitoba var "on the road" i Texas, og måtte tage hjem igen.
Denne gang håber vi den er god nok, og det er planlagt at Jannik skal spille i natten kamp (dansk tid) mod Hamilton Bulldogs.
Der bliver dog klogeligt ikke lagt det store pres på Jannik i hans comeback kamp.
Manitobas træner, Scott Arniel udtaler til Vinnipeg SUN:
"He needs to stay healthy, that's the biggest thing for Jannik," said Arniel. "He's in a situation where he hasn't played a lot of hockey this year. He had a great training camp but he's a long ways from that now.
"He's just got to take baby steps here. He just has to go out and keep it simple. I'm not looking for a couple goals a game or for him to have end-to-end rushes or to run people over. I want him to get to a point where every shift is as good as the last one and he builds off that shift. He's got a whole second half to go here and hopefully, he can show some good things and get back up to where he needs to be."
Jannik Hansen selv har følgende kommentar:
"It's been way too long since I've been in a game," said Hansen. "I've been skating at full speed for a week now, so I feel comfortable and confident going into the second half."
